Lip Injections (Dermal Fillers)

Lip fillers are a great temporary option for those who aren't comfortable with lip implants or those who want to see how plump lips look on them prior to investing in lip implants. Restylane Kysse is the first lip filler designed with Restylane’s XpresHAn technology, which is a unique formulation meant for dynamic areas of the face, like your lips. The gel is highly flexible allowing for natural movement while still giving you subtle volume. A syringe is typically all you need to achieve a desired result and the effects of this can last 6 -12 months.

Silicone Lip Implants

Looking for a more permanent solution? Lip implants, such as PermaLip, are soft silicone implants that enhance the projection of the lips. While fillers dissolve over time, implants last as long as you keep them. Lip implants come in various sizes so you can get the exact results you desire. They may be more expensive than fillers initially, but the cost may be cheaper over time than continuously getting lip injections.

The procedure takes about 30 minutes to an hour to perform in our office with local anesthesia. Dr. Patel inserts the soft silicone implants through small hidden incisions in the corners of the mouth, using dissolvable stitches to hold them in place. During the healing process, the body forms a capsule around the implant which keeps it in place.

Apprehensive about silicone lips implants? They're not as scary as they may seem. They cannot break or rupture in the lips, and are 100% removeable if you ever change your mind about them.
