Layla Shadman, PA-C

Layla Shadman, PA-C draws on her artistic background to develop creative approaches to fulfilling her patients’ aesthetic goals. She is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She works exclusively in plastic surgery focusing on facial rejuvenation and skin care. She performs cosmetic injections such as neurotoxin and dermal filler, chemical peels and laser treatments. Layla additionally works with Dr. Patel to provide patients with comprehensive care throughout their surgical experience.


Background

Prior to working at Visage Facial Plastic Surgery, Layla worked at the University of Chicago where she practiced both aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. She also worked at a prominent aesthetic plastic surgery office in the Gold Coast of Chicago. Before her career in medicine, she worked in the hospitality industry for a sports marketing firm planning large scale corporate events. With an eye for creativity, she enjoys painting, crafting and dessert decorating in her free time.

Education

Layla received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rush University-Chicago and graduated as a member of the Pi Alpha National Honor Society. She focused her studies in plastic and general surgery, intertwining her interests in art and medicine. Prior to this, Layla studied Art History and Communication Arts as an undergraduate at UW-Madison. She moved to Milwaukee from Chicago to be closer to family.
