My favorite preventative facial aging routine

When approaching facial aging, I like to find a relatively simple routine that will provide me with results that are natural. Here are three things I can’t do without:

• Restorative Skin Complex with TriHex+™ from ALASTIN Skincare (twice daily)
• Dysport treatments (every 3–4 months)
• Light facial peels (a series of peels in fall and/or winter)
  

My Daily Essential

The Restorative Skin Complex with TriHex+^TM is an amazing peptide serum that provides you with several benefits in one tiny bottle. This serum refines wrinkles while also improving facial volume, laxity and texture/tone. The TriHex+^TM proprietary peptide supports your skin’s ability to produce new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. This product also has magnolol which plumps your skin and silver mushroom which improves hydration. Sometimes I don’t even need an additional moisturizer. The Restorative Skin Complex with TriHex+^TM has niacinamide, an antioxidant that inhibits pigment formation. And as an added benefit, you will notice visible improvements in both dullness and redness of your skin. This is the only product I have in my travel bag (besides the HydraTint Pro Mineral Sunscreen for beach vacations).

My Go To for Expression Lines

Dysport is hands down the best non-surgical treatment to prevent dynamic wrinkles from settling into place and creating deeper, more permanent lines. This treatment relaxes the muscles of facial expression that create those pesky angry lines in the forehead and smile lines around the eyes. I recommend treatments every 3 months to prevent facial wrinkles from becoming permanent. Once wrinkles become deeply etched into the skin, they are very difficult to erase. Prevention is key. My Seasonal Skin Refresh

Finally, light facial peels are extremely important resurfacing treatments to help prevent facial aging. Peels help shed surface layers to get to your new healthy skin. Our goal is not to completely take away lines/wrinkles, but to simply give your skin a smoother, brighter look which allows products to better penetrate. Additionally, light peels can help slowly erase uneven pigments and control acne by clearing excess oil/bacteria.
