How Do Branded Facelifts Compare To A Mini-Lift?

February 4, 2021

Question: "How does the CosmoLift, Lifestyle Lift, or Quick Lift compare to other mini-lift procedures?"

Answer: "Branded lifts are to be avoided. Branding a lift is a marketing ploy; the underlying techniques are rarely novel. A quality lift procedure cannot be standardized for everyone because aging and anatomy differ across individuals. Branded lifts rely more on marketing than actual results to push their product. Proponents of branded lifts sometimes show before and after photos of the branded lifts done by others and claim to provide the same result. This is not reality.

Always make sure you see a surgeon's own before and after photos for procedures he or she has personally performed. A branded lift is never better than one customized for you. Any branded lift may either succeed or fail depending upon the surgeon's judgment and skills. Always review before-and-after photos of surgeries performed by the surgeon with whom you are consulting. If a surgeon is showing you others' results, something is very wrong.

My mini lift is a deep plane technique which I have honed over the years to be very safe and effective. In certain patients it is coupled with a submentoplasty, which may or may not involve liposuction. Other adjuncts include earlobe reductions and SMAS nasolabial fold / lip augmentation. The overarching theme is that the procedure must be customized to the patient. A cookie-cutter branded lift just won't cut it."
