Ask An Expert: Rhinoplasty For A Short, Bulbous Nose

Anand Patel • Aug 09, 2022

Question: "What I don’t like about my nose is how upturned it is, short, bulbous tip, and wide alar base. Any opinions regarding this? Would this be a complex surgery? I'm just starting out looking into a rhinoplasty so anything will help."

Answer: "It is possible to lengthen a short nose, while simultaneously narrowing and enhancing tip definition. This procedure would also reduce nostril flare. This is on the more complex side of what nose surgeons do, but not nearly as complicated as the revision procedures many of us perform."
